Submit Your Writing

The Intimacy Project has reached a great number of people in a few short years. In order to reach a broader audience and further the success of the project, we aspire to release the exhibit in the form of a book. To enhance and expound upon the images in this book, writings from the LGBT community that reflect the true essence of The Intimacy Project will be included. We invite you to submit your writing.

Submission Guidelines

Submissions are currently being accepted for consideration. Those that are selected may appear on our website to provide inspiration to others, and/or in The Intimacy Project book. Requirements for written submissions are very relaxed, so you can write a quote, a poem, a rant, a short story, or basically anything you’d like. Submit 350 words or less that share an experience, a viewpoint, or a perspective of what intimacy means to you as an LGBTQ individual.

Participants whose submissions are selected for inclusion may request a credit that will accompany their piece of writing in the book, or to have their anonymity maintained.

The Fine Print

Please note that you will be contributing to an existing and ongoing artistic venture, and that all decisions with regard to inclusion, exclusion, placement, and promotion, will be made exclusively by Dawn Hartman. By submitting, you are granting permission for your work to be published online or in print if selected, and you agree to release all future rights to the work. Submissions should be motivated by interest in adding to The Intimacy Project.  Compensation, monetary or otherwise, is not offered in conjunction with this project.
