The Intimacy Project would be nothing if the Pittsburgh queer community hadn’t gotten involved. Since the beginning, hundreds of couples and individuals have volunteered as models, spread the word about our exhibitions, and showed up to support the mission of this project.
Since The Intimacy Project is constantly evolving, there are always opportunities be part of it. Contact us if you’d like to get involved. Please keep in mind that participation is invited for the advancement of the project, and no compensation is implied.
Be Photographed – We’re always looking for more models. If you’ll be in the Pittsburgh area, arranging a photo shoot is simple. In other parts of the U.S. (or the world), just let us know that you’re interested. We travel frequently and often arrange shoots on the road. Learn more >>
Submit Your Writing – We’re seeking written submissions for the upcoming Intimacy Project book. Poems and perspectives on intimacy from members of the LGBT community and our allies will be printed alongside photos from the project. Learn more >>
Host an Exhibition – Exhibitions are the best way to share our positive images with new communities. If you want to bring The Intimacy Project to your city, we’d love to hear from you. Learn more >>
Purchase Prints – Displaying photos from the project helps to make gay imagery less shocking and allows others a chance to see for themselves that love is universal. The images also make great gifts to show support for those who may need it most. Learn more >>
